1883 Waltham 15J 18s Wm Ellery Mod 1879 Early CWCCo Case Pocket Watch Keeps Time. Here is this 1883 Waltham Wm Ellery 18s open face pocket watch. This watch keeps good time. The case is an early C. Swing out, and it has deep dings on the edge of the case and a couple on the back. The glass crystal is in good condition with only light usage wear with no cracks or chips. The dial has a hairline from 12 to the 11 and a hairline from the 4/5 and 5 to the subdial. It measures 55mm in diameter (not including the pendant). Age : 1883 Serial #2012976. The Case hinge works properly and the movement swings-out when the Crown is pulled. It has a Screw Down Bezel and it screws on easily and screws down tight. It does has surface scratches from age on the rear of the case. The Stem and Bow or all in good condition, the crown has wear. 100% all originl Hampden 23j Special Railway, Keeps Time, Original 25yr GF Case, Hands Etc. Crystal is thick beveled glass with normal wear. The double sunk dial is very nice and only has a couple of faint hairlines. The original hands still have the beautiful bluing intact. The movement is the real showpiece here. Very bright two tone with almost no fading out of the gold color, running strong and off less then a minute over 24 hours. Case is original and a Wadsworth Pilot 25 year. I cant see any wear threw at all except for a small portion around one side of the back lid rim and the bow sits up nicely. All lids close tight. Front lid pops open with a little help. The watch is running strong, keeping good time it was just cleaned and oiled. The case measures a whopping 55mm from side to side. The case looks good condition, Light scratches, dings , dents on it. Shines up nice, you can see in the pictures, the dial is very nice, has a few very light hairlines, you can see in the pictures. Working well and keeping time in all positions. Great dial with no hairlines or chips. There is aa tiny scratch in the seconds bit. It is tough to spot it even under magnification. The case shows brass mostly along the band and a bit on the pendant. The lids show alomost no brass but for silvers at the hinges and where the bow has rested against the back lid. There is a dent in thed band near the pendant. It is visible in a photo. The bow is solid 10k gold original Ball patent stirrup. Good firm hinges and closures. Matching plum colored hands. I do not know when this was last cleaned and oiled. The movement is nice with a few of the usual small scratches and other marks from servicing. The free listing tool.
