This unique piece features a hunting-movement configuration housed in an open-face case, placing the winding stem at the 3 o’clock position (familiarly known to collectors as a “Sidewinder”). Movement Serial Number: 9318529. Estimated Production Date: 1899 (September – October Run). Size: 18s (Large pocket watch size). Jewel Count: 15 Jewels. Movement Finish: Nickel (Damaskeened). Setting Type: Stem Wind, Stem Set. ### Case & Dial Styling. Case Type: Open face, screw-back configuration. Crown Position: 3 O’clock position (“Sidewinder” layout). Case Material: Silverode (Durable nickel-alloy base metal). Case Details: Features a clean coin-edge bezel and an elegant steam engine locomotive engraving on the back cover. The balance wheel is wobbly when coaxed, which strongly indicates a broken balance staff pivot axle rather than a loose balance cock bridge. Dial has a filled area between 3 and 4, several hairlines. Case is Sterling hinged snap back and front. Hinge on back has some small cracks but lid snaps in place and holds. Watch is 16 size open face stem set 7 jewel seems to be running strong. Hands set, winds, etc. Has presentation inside from 1906.

The dial is marked Olivier Quartter av Rocle. It is in good condition with some wear to the case. The crystal is missing. The balance is good. It is a front open.

Pretty good condition considering age see all photos. Nice case ding and dent free. Movement is complete and tries to run may go 30 seconds and stops. I have zero records of any service and see no marks on case of one so at minimum will need that or more.
