In my personal opinion, the case and mechanical condition are in good condition, and I think it is in such beautiful condition that it is hard to believe that it is a watch that is over 100 years old. ALL ORIGINAL HAMILTON 992B RAILWAY SPECIAL, FACTORY HAMILTON RAILROAD GOLD FILLED CASE, RUNNING. All original clean example of a Hamilton 992B 21 jewel Railroad Grade Pocket Watch. Serial number C246610 circa 1948 railroad pocket Watch. Watch runs great and keeps time but I have not checked it over a long period. Great bold Arabic box car original Hamilton bold Arabic Railroad dial but has some hairlines. Dial does look nice. Case is a very nice marked Hamilton original factory Railroad case, very attractive case with light wear, has initials on back. Case covers screw on and off easily. The Hamilton model A railroad case is one of my favorite cases for the 992B. Case is in nice condition with little brass just light wear wear on back. A nice clean example of a 1948 vintage 992B railroad watch. A 992B that is very high grade adjusted to 6 positions with alloy hairspring and balance wheel, a very high-quality 21 Jewel railroad Watch with gold train timing screws and jewel settings. 1923 Illinois Burlington 16S 21J 107 Railroad Grade Montgomery Dial Train Case. This watch will look better in your hand than it does in the pics. Officially listed in it’s day as’Limited Railroad Grade’, this classification apparently meant it was approved in some states, but not others. This one appears to be all original, though it’s hard to tell, as they were often cased and re-cased through multiple servicing. This one in cased in a rugged,’Emperor’ Star Watch Case Co. Railroad case and looks quite good. The movement is fairly described as’crisp’… It’s signed’Burlington Watch Co. Chicago”Adjusted to Temperature and Positions”Double Roller’ and 21 Jewels’. Serial number is’4188617′, dating it to approx. Screw set jewels and micrometric regulator are some of the finer features. There is some plate ware to the case and normal surface scratches and a small ding or 2, but generally the case is in good shape, with smooth thread on the front bezel allowing easy access to the lever set mechanism. This watch keeps good time, as expected, and winds, sets and runs strong, though I have no idea when it was last serviced. The double sunk porcelain dial has a sub second hand at 6 o’clock and is signed’Burlington’. The dial is in good shape, with only a couple of minor hairline cracks, but no chips and the hands appear original and crisp. It features large Arabic indices and the very desirable Montgomery detailed indices around the perimeter. I’m offering this watch at a BIN price below market, as well as opening it to offers. This is very attractive example of a classic American railroad timepiece… A fine addition to any collect, or a great regular user…. You won’t be disappointed!

Look at this beauty 16s Ball Hamilton Model 999 Railroad Pocket Watch. This watch measured 50.2 mm in diameter, 72.3 from lug to lug and it’s in good working condition. Both brand new old stock plastic crystal just installed. Single sunken porcelain dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers, no edge chips or hair lines. 21 Jewels Saphire Pallets, Gold Center Wheel and Jewels setting, stem wind lever set highly damascened nickel movement signed, Ball Watch Co. Trade Mark Official Standard, Adjusted 5 Positions Serial number B641149 date this watch to 1935. Here the best part of this watch! Unsigned salesman nickel case, no dings or dents, a bit wears and minor scratches. Overall, excellent running watch and keeping a good time, but I had it for a while and it may need service soon.
