Pocket Watch Case

This product is a rare and valuable 1928 Illinois pocket watch, with the model number 167L. It features a lever set very rare on the 167′s it even has 167L on the movement 17 jewels, a size 16 movement, and a keystone case made in the USA. The watch has a white dial with Arabic numerals, a 12-hour dial, and a polished silver case.

Offered for sale is an antique Illinois 60-Hour Bunn Special open-faced pocket watch, made in USA probably circa 1928. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 51mm (2) diameter. This watch features a signed Bunn Special 14k white gold filled screw back and bezel case, a 21-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set 60-hour movement, and a double-sunk Montgomery dial with Arabic numerals and blue steel hands. The case is in excellent condition showing signs of normal pocket carry and no visible brassing. The dial is in excellent original condition and the crystal has some minor surface scratches. Illinois 18S 11J key wind Columbia pocket watch #420964, handsome gilt full plate movement with a brushed finish and a floral engraved balance bridge, unmarked porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, fancy purple steel spade & whip style hands, heavy smooth polish white base metal (WBM) hinge back & bezel (HB&B) case with offset gold hinges, a large heavy bow and an extra thick glass crystal, case has likely only held this watch however the material & style are inconsistent with the manufacture date and it is likely a replacement, case is showing light even wear with a few small spots of discoloration, some brass showing on one of the hinges and a small set of flakes on the crystal’s lower edge near the front case lip, measures approx. 57mm in diameter x 82mm in length x 23mm thick (crystal included). A heavy & impressive vintage Illinois from the 1880s in excellent overall condition! Any rulers shown for scale give measurements in centimeters (with millimeter gradients), NOT inches.
