The Porcelain Dial Has Arabic Numerals, and is Signed “Hamilton Watch Co”, in Good Condition! The Ornate Fancy 17 Jewel Damaskeened Movement is signed Hamilton watch Co. The Case is a Beautiful Elegant Ornate Gold Filled Full Hunter Case with Intricate Designs, in Excellent Original Condition. The Watch is Large, and is Size 16s, and is a “Lever Set” Watch. Movement Serial Number: 9318529. Estimated Production Date: 1899 (September – October Run). Size: 18s (Large pocket watch size). Jewel Count: 15 Jewels. Movement Finish: Nickel (Damaskeened). Setting Type: Stem Wind, Stem Set. ### Case & Dial Styling. Case Type: Open face, screw-back configuration. Crown Position: 3 O’clock position (“Sidewinder” layout). Case Material: Silverode (Durable nickel-alloy base metal). Case Details: Features a clean coin-edge bezel and an elegant steam engine locomotive engraving on the back cover. Dial: Original porcelain dial with classic Roman numeral hour markers and a sunken sub-seconds register. Hands: Original blued steel hands. ### Condition Report & Mechanical Notes (Read Carefully). Cosmetics: The movement damaskeening looks brilliant. The silverode case shows normal light wear consistent with its age of 125+ years. Dial Condition: The porcelain dial features two faint, hairline cracks located between the 7 and 8 o’clock positions. Mechanical Function: The watch is currently wound tight and is not running. The balance wheel is wobbly when coaxed, which strongly indicates a broken balance staff pivot axle rather than a loose balance cock bridge. This is a perfect project watch for a hobbyist or watchmaker looking to install a new balance staff or transplant a donor balance assembly. This is a low production movement of est 6,500 The Hamilton 18s 19 Jewels Railroad Grade 944 Pocket Watch is a vintage timepiece with a classic design suitable for men. Dial has a filled area between 3 and 4, several hairlines. Case is Sterling hinged snap back and front. Hinge on back has some small cracks but lid snaps in place and holds. Watch is 16 size open face stem set 7 jewel seems to be running strong. Hands set, winds, etc. Has presentation inside from 1906.

The dial is marked Olivier Quartter av Rocle. It is in good condition with some wear to the case. The crystal is missing. The balance is good. It is a front open.

Pretty good condition considering age see all photos. Nice case ding and dent free. Movement is complete and tries to run may go 30 seconds and stops. I have zero records of any service and see no marks on case of one so at minimum will need that or more. N, and striking heat-blued steel spade hands. Case Material: Gold Filled back and bezel, officially stamped inside the hinged backing: Warranted 20 Years. The Band: Original antique black grosgrain ribbon/lace style military strap. The “Battle Scar” Defect. We tell it straight up here. The fabric material of the ribbon band is splitting/fraying in one spot from pure age. However, ALL of the original antique gold-filled mounting clips, geometric loops, and buckle hardware are completely present, intact, and ready for an upgrade or easy fabric re-threading! WHY THIS WATCH BELONGS IN YOUR CORRAL. Look, we aren’t going to pull the wool over your eyes-most century-old watches found in old barn chests look like they were trampled by a herd of angry mountain goats. This Ruefli piece is an absolute show-goat on the inside and outside. The dial setup has an incredible amount of early military charisma. Back during the Great War, officers wore these exact types of wristlets in the trenches because fumbling through a coat for a pocket watch was a great way to get targeted by an enemy patrol. The “Red 12″ was designed specifically so soldiers could instantly orient the dial in low-light environments. The 10 jewel heart inside is exceptionally clean, looking like it was locked inside a vault away from our clumsy farmhands.
