Vintage Likely Bucherer 48.1 x 66.7 mm Skeletonized Caliber 6497 17-Jewel Goldtone Full Hunter Pocket Watch. This watch measures approximately 48.1 mm in diameter and 66.7 mm in total length including the bow. Based on the style of its skeletonized design and the movement caliber, it was likely made by Bucherer or a similar Swiss maker – see photos. The movement is skeletonized with an hours track signed with a blackletter “B” at 12 o’clock and the text “17 JEWELS INCABLOC SWISS MADE” – see photos. The goldtone case is in very good condition overall with some normal wear and patina; all covers open and close as they should with no prominent gaps; the crystals are in very good used condition – see photos. The movement is marked “6497″ under the balance; the top of the 7 is cut off by the skeletonization – see photos. Sets and winds smoothly. The balance staff is intact, the balance swings freely, and it runs; over a 24-hour observation period, it ran and kept time within approximately 1 minute/day. Imposed by your country of residence.
