Bezel, crystal, hinges, lids are all good and open and close well. An illinois 16s getty lever set model came from here, though it is also pendant set. Production Year: 1915 (Based on movement serial number 3104939). Size: 18s (Heavy-duty, classic American design measuring approximately 57mm outer diameter). Movement: 17 Jewels, Manual Wind, Pendant-Set (Stem-Set). Movement Markings: “Safety Pinion”, “17 Jewels”, “Hampden Watch Co, Canton, Ohio”. Case Markings: Serial number 1779. Dial: Beautiful white porcelain enamel dial with elegant stylized Arabic numerals and dedicated seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. Mechanical Condition (For Parts / Repair / Restoration). The Symptoms: The watch is wound tight and is currently not running. The Culprit: The balance wheel swings freely and has absolutely no wobble (the balance staff pivots are intact and unbroken). However, the hairspring is visibly tangled/overlapping and will need realignment, cleaning, or professional adjustment. Important Note: Because the watch is wound tight, the mainspring holds significant potential energy. Case: Open-face case with heavy vintage character. There is noticeable brassing and plating wear on the back cover and high-friction spots around the bow and crown where the base metal is exposed (please reference photos).
