Offered for sale is an antique Illinois 60-Hour Bunn Special open-faced pocket watch, made in USA probably circa 1928. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 51mm (2) diameter. This watch features a signed Bunn Special 14k white gold filled screw back and bezel case, a 21-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set 60-hour movement, and a double-sunk Montgomery dial with Arabic numerals and blue steel hands. The case is in excellent condition showing signs of normal pocket carry and no visible brassing. The dial is in excellent original condition and the crystal has some minor surface scratches. The balance seems ok and it looks like the chain is intact, but i wasn’t able to wind it, and i did not try to force it. The cases are in good condition for their age, but i do see a few small dents, dings, and scratches. I tried to show the Hallmarks in the photos, and the research I did suggests it was made in 1848 with London Hallmarks, but no guarantees, and please verify this info for yourself. The hinges on both cases are strong, and the dial is in pretty good condition with a few minor flaws. The crystal is clear, and looks good with a few minor flaws.
