This product is a vintage 1903 Elgin 18 size pocket watch with 7 jewels, housed in a heavy nickel swing-out case. The open face closure features Roman numerals on a white dial, with a lever escapement type and a mechanical manual movement. ITEM CODE: BA10062412.19. This is a nice Waltham pocket watch made in 1919. It has a nice Silverode Swing-Out case. It is in excellent running order and keeps excellent time. It has been recently cleaned, oiled and timed. This is a 16 Size Model 1908, Grade No. It measures around 53mm (2.08 inches) in diameter (excluding pendant crown and bow). It weighs 108 g (3.8 ounces). The open-face Swing-Out case is SILVERODE. It is in excellent condition without any dings or dents. It is marked inside the back lid. It has a serial number: 681220. The front lid screws ON and OFF as it should. 16 Size movement in excellent and clean condition. This is stem wind and lever set (at one o’clock) movement and has 17 jewels. 17 JEWELS, Adjusted, 3 Positions with serial number 23182816. It is running strong and keeps excellent time. The original Double-Sunk metal dial is still in excellent condition as can be seen in the pictures. It is marked Waltham. The Extra Heavy Spade & Whip blue steel hands are original and in excellent condition. Glass crystal is in excellent condition. Antiques and Jewelry By The Sea. The screw-on bezel and swing-out mechanism work perfectly and close tightly. Light wear throughout the case, with a dent and small ding on the rear. The crown is nice and tight, and the pull-out unlock for the swing-out mechanism is fully functional. The crystal has several chips along the edge, but they are not sharp and do not affect visibility at all. The double-sunk gothic dial has 2 chips along the very edge, which are completely concealed while the bezel is installed. The case engraving along the dial is still quite sharp, and the watch does not contain a monogram. A particularly interesting detail about this pocket watch is the 24 ruby jewels movement, which winds and runs well, and appears very clean overall. The case interior reveals a large amount of service dates, indicating the previous owner regularly serviced this watch throughout the years.
