Pocket Watch Case

17-jewel movement with Safety Pinion, signed white enamel dial with sunk seconds subdial. Housed in a nickel Monitor case with an engraved case back (monogram/cartouche, personalized “1913″ on the interior cuvette). Watch runs and keeps time. As with any antique mechanical watch, a full service by a qualified watchmaker is recommended before regular use to ensure long-term reliability. A great honest running example of an early 1900s Waltham for a collector or as an entry-level piece.

Low production of 3800 made.. One hand is broken off inside. When tested watch winds up and does run, watch stem seems to but not fitting too well, makes cracking noise when winding, tested it for 30 minutes and ran nicely… Will need a new stem.

What you see is what you will receive. Needs cleaned and polished. Comes with scuffs, scratches and surface wear. Please see pictures and you be the judge on details and conditions. The numbered sticker is for my purpose.

Vintage Elgin 12S Pocket Watch. Serial number shows it was manufactured in 1909. Case is nickel and appears silver in finish and is in beautiful condition for being well over 100 years old. Dial looks clean, no major imperfections on the glass. The watch is over 100 years old and its not in perfect condition and should be expected to have minor scratches and scuffs in the metal finish as shown in the included photos. I wound the watch up and let it run over night and it held time. The crown and stem are included however they will need to be reattached to each other, the crown popped off the stem. This will need to be reattached before you can wind the watch up however you can make the wheel turn and it will spin and the watch will start ticking as should be expected. Original vintage Swiss pocket watch ARISTON. The size in the case without the crown – 46.8 mm. An interesting rare mechanism, 15 jewels. The dial is original, restored. The glass is acrylic.
