Pocket Watch Case

Stunning 16 size, 17 jewels antique pocket watch from 1910. WMcKinley model with beautiful double sunk porcelain dial. Single subtle hairline on the outer dial between 3 & 4. Winds, sets and runs flawlessly. Stunning gold plate case w/no dents, dings or scratches – amazing for a 115 year old watch! Solid bow and crown. A classic beauty for any serious pocket watch collector.

Winds up but doesn’t work. Very clean good condition.

The Vintage Hampden Grade Special Railway 18s 23 jewel pocket watch is snap bezel display case. Watch is currently running as shown on the time graph photos. Case lids are very different to snap on and off so buyers is aware. I use been using a razor blade to pop them off. The front bezel to access the setting lever takes a lot of pressure to go back on. Crystals are all thick class. I would consider the case more of a poor quality one. The movement as it runs can see on the time graph it’s not running the best but stays running and keeps very close time till the mainspring is let down. Dial has some imperfections but in nice shape. Condition can be made by your own judgement by photos. Great piece to just displays the gorgeous movement.

The watch is wound too tight. The case measures 54.7mm wide. The back case cover has a Stag engraved on it (see picture 2). The case shows wear and has some tarnish. The dial is marked Hampden Watch Co. There is a crack between the 5 and 6 o’clock positions (see picture 5). The inside of the front and back covers are marked Warranted 14k E. Co which makes this case a gold filled case. The inside of the movement cover is marked with a flag with a star in the center of it. The movement is marked Dueber Grand, Canton, Ohio, 17 Jewels. Hello and welcome to another of my listings. Today for your consideration is this. 1879 HAMPDEN SPRINGFIELD, key wind pocket watch with very heavy coin silver case (is marked as 4 oz case). Winding key not included. Sometimes is working for few minutes and sometime for more than 1 hour. Case with discoloration, dings, some wear and scratches. Nice and thick glass crystal.
