The watch features a beautifully detailed silver case with a high-relief equestrian scene on the back, framed by a horseshoe motif and foliage. The interior cover is engraved “Grand Prix Paris 1900″, a prestigious award reference commonly used by high-quality Swiss makers of the period. The watch is wound too tight. The case measures 54.7mm wide. The back case cover has a Stag engraved on it (see picture 2). The case shows wear and has some tarnish. The dial is marked Hampden Watch Co. There is a crack between the 5 and 6 o’clock positions (see picture 5). The inside of the front and back covers are marked Warranted 14k E. Co which makes this case a gold filled case. The inside of the movement cover is marked with a flag with a star in the center of it. The movement is marked Dueber Grand, Canton, Ohio, 17 Jewels.
