THANK YOU for considering our highest quality, strong running and almost perfectly accurate Hamilton Grade 950B railroad-grade watch. Here are the details. S18267, circa 1953, 16 size, open face, 23 jewels, adjusted temperature and 6 positions, double roller, Model 6, Grade 950B, Elinvar bimetallic hairspring, cupped gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, ¾ nickel plate, stem wind, lever set beauty. This late-model superlative condition 950B movement is in tip-top working order, with a dead flat and true balance wheel that has a wide, fine arc and a strong, steady beat. The movement is a solid wind, starts up with a single flick of the wrist (950Bs like their little brother, the 992Bs, are notoriously stiff starters), and lever sets as designed. The movement holds almost perfect computer time after years of careful and prolonged regulating. With respect to appearance, this movement is looking top-flight, with a high degree of brilliance to its toning, no tarnish, 100% spotless winding wheels, no stains or fading, no jeweler’s marks, all apparata complete and running strong and true holding railroad time! Dial : Pristine perfect condition Hamilton “Blindman Monty” “Hamilton Railway Special” style, 16 size, open face, non-sunk enamel, super bold black Arabic numerals with surrounding red five-minute-markers and black minute-markers, 3-post dial! This dial is in just about as perfect condition as can be imagined, with not even the slightest suggestion of anything approaching a hairline, chip, crack, chaffing, stain or scratch! Hands : RR bold original finish black new-old-stock (NOS) matching spade hour and pointer minute hands in superlative condition, with close to 100% of the original lacquer finish intact and correct for any 950B! Case : Correct for the late-model Grade 950B of this era marked bar-over-crown (BOC) “Hamilton Watch Company” Case Model #17 by Star WCCo. 16 size, open face, 10K yellow gold fill, slot right, screw-back-and-bezel case! Here’s Hamilton’s last and arguably best bar-over railroad case, the #17, with the smooth back, nicely engraved edges, the thick neck, wide and wind-able original crown, classic bar-over feature, distinct model bow and all the classic railroad-ready features!! This highly collectible and fine case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The correct signed original “Hamilton Railroad” crown’s fluting is still sharp and defined for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set e. Hamilton railroad-grade movement will work inside. The bow is also correct, shows zero brass or damage, and holds tight to positions. The bar-over is correct and about 92% winding wear-free!! The crystal is a brand-new looking beveled mineral glass model with zero issues. The case does show exceedingly minimal wear, including superficial exterior scratches only and one more prominent scratch, no marrings or doodlings, zero brass anywhere whatsoever, and absolutely, positively no sign of any dents, dings, dimples or depressions! I’ve owned this fine timepiece for 20-odd years and it has always run accurately and never failed to please and delight!! Please examine each photo carefully for further details, as the photos control over this written description. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The large print giveth and the small print taketh away! No questions asked, just return it well re-packaged and in the same condition in which received. A picture truly tells 1000 words and the photos here control over any written description. Outstanding, solid and superb English made by John Clements of Oxford serial number 13241, 1814 silver Hunter cased verge fusee. The Solid sterling silver Hunter case is Silver hall marked (T) 1814 from London assay with case serial number matching movement. Absolutely beautiful condition white colored porcelain dial with stunning original Solid Gold matching hands and large blue 60 second sub seconds hand, which functions beautiful. The dial has only a few light gray spider lines, undistracting. The front cover has a nice strong spring. All case covers open, close and fit nice and tight together with the glass crystal near spotless. The front and rear cover machining design has some spots where the design is worn smooth. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs full length of chain. The movement has a nice and snug dust cover. Balance has beautiful motion with the bridge having uniquely amazing and ornate detailed face and urn. The balance bridge also has a beautiful Diamond end stone. The movement is super clean with a unique stop/start switch that functions perfect. The movement and sub seconds hand, stops and then starts right up again when the switch is moved back. Pocket watch is regulated by a right side push arrow index. The watch measures approx. 54mm excluding the bow. Pocket watch runs outstanding and keeps great fusee time, last checked about 1 or 2 minuets fast within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position…….. But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale. These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time 202 years ago. Watch comes with a sharp key for winding. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. Just a reminder, care must be taken when winding these old watches not to overwind. They are true museum pieces. This is truly an amazing looking solid, beautiful condition 202 year old fusee pocket watch that functions outstanding with a nice loud tick and near flawless dial that I have personally carried and was keeping great fusee time. Also unique is the stop/start switch that functions perfectly. The item “Outstanding 1814 English verge fusee silver Hunter case pocket watch by Clements” is in sale since Saturday, April 09, 2016. This is serial number C7019. It has a Gold center wheel. This is a seldom seen U. Army marked Hamilton 992 B. These are usually only found in the Hamilton serial numbers under C10000. After that they are marked U. The watch has been running for over a month and keeps good time. The Plates are clean and I don’t see any scratches or screwdriver marks. The original Hamilton dial #024 is a Single Sunk enamel Montgomery. I looked it over with a loupe and did find a small hairline at the 1 minute marker on the edge. The case is the correct Keystone Base Metal Military model. The serial numbers on the center ring and back cover don’t match. Very few of these Military watches have matching case numbers because of the way they were cleaned in groups and no thought was given to matching up the case serial numbers in the Military. I don’t end auctions early. I don’t part out watches for higher profits and discourage this practice. The item “U. S. Army Marked 992 B Hamilton Running, Good Dial & Military Case No Reserve” is in sale since Sunday, April 03, 2016. This item is in the category “Jewelry & Watches\Watches\Pocket Watches\Antique”. The seller is “pocwatjim” and is located in Decatur, Tennessee. This item can be shipped worldwide.
