Pocket Watch Case

Army &Navy Illinois Washington size 12, 19 jewels Hunter case Pocket watch 1909. Is in very good condition running strong and keeping good time. 19J, crown set movement # 1749319. Grade 273 model 2. Army Navy Washington Watch. Running strong keeping time. Very good with small hearline. [Mint] Item has never been used. Excellent Item is like new with very slight signs of use. Very Good Item have some minor signs of previous used but is in great condition without heavy scratches, wear or mechanical issues, may have some fine surface scratches. Good Item has slight surface scratches or slight wear, but looks great. Fair Item shows scratches or weir that is visible. Poor Item is not in perfect working order or damaged. For Parts or Repairs Item cannot be used as-is. Repair needed or used as parts.

This is serial number C7019. It has a Gold center wheel. This is a seldom seen U. Army marked Hamilton 992 B. These are usually only found in the Hamilton serial numbers under C10000. After that they are marked U. The watch has been running for over a month and keeps good time. The Plates are clean and I don’t see any scratches or screwdriver marks. The original Hamilton dial #024 is a Single Sunk enamel Montgomery. I looked it over with a loupe and did find a small hairline at the 1 minute marker on the edge. The case is the correct Keystone Base Metal Military model. The serial numbers on the center ring and back cover don’t match. Very few of these Military watches have matching case numbers because of the way they were cleaned in groups and no thought was given to matching up the case serial numbers in the Military. I don’t end auctions early. I don’t part out watches for higher profits and discourage this practice. The item “U. S.
