16 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set A. Beautiful example of this scarce hunting case railroad grade watch. Movement is nicely finished with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, gold center wheel, and striped pattern nickel damaskeen. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial and is housed in a beautifully engraved 25 year gold-filled Wadsworth Pilot case that appears likely its original and has a detailed house scene on both front and rear. Small shield at lower front of case is engraved with initials. Movement serial number is 2430133 which dates this watch to about 1912. Running and a very nice looking movement with excellent color and luster. Train bridge has some fine abrasion between the 3rd wheel and 4th wheel jewel settings. Dial is very near perfect with only a few mild fine glaze scratches. Case is beautiful with crisp engraving detail but does have a ding or small dent just below center of the front lid. It runs and looks very nice, but I believe it needs serviced, it runs for a good while, then it quits for awhile then will start back on it’s own. 18 Size, Illinois, “Bunn”, 17 Jewel Pocket Watch. Running [not checked for accuracy]. This “Bunn” has my favorite damasking pattern of all the Illinois “Bunn” type, Pocket Watches. A truly beautiful movement in a truly beautiful Case. The Case is a “Stag” Engraved, Screw Back & Bezel, Keystone, Gold Filled Case. Back & Bezel in Beautiful Shape, though the edge of the body is worn & showing brass [doesn't show up in the pic's]. It’s difficult to show Gold Fill Cases without a lot of reflection, so the pic’s are “stepped down” so as to show the engraved detail. In’person, the Case is a Bright Yellow Gold Color. Not much to research , but I did find a 1867 with the serial number of 351, xxx , so I’m guessing this to be around 1870 to 1880. Smooth running, the case is very nice , the crystal has some lite scratches, but the dial looks not to be cracked, and in decent condition. Elgin 0 size multi 14k US Assay Multi Colored solid gold hunting case is in mint condition with all the gold colors, pink, yellow, green, yellow, white gold. The Elgin movement is 7 jewels and running serial number 13,734,094 was made in 1908. Case measures 33.5 mm side to side. Weighs 31.9 grams with the movement. Movement is complete and so is the case. Just think someone had put this away never used for over 100 years so this is a real treasure. The case opens and closes nice and tight with no gaps. You will love this one. 18 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set Bunn Special pocketwatch. Very nicely finished railroad grade movement with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and 2-tone gold circular pattern damaskeen. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel Gothic numeral dial and is housed in a gold-filled hunting case recase that has a small house scene engraved on its rear. Movement serial number is 1381584 which dates this watch to about 1897. Running and a nice looking movement with good 2-tone color. Barrel bridge has a small spot at its left perimeter edge. Dial has a fracture at its lower right corner of the inner chapter with this small triangular shaped corner segment lifting a bit out of level, and dial has some scattered faint hairlines elsewhere.
