Pocket Watch Case

This is a gorgeous, timeless American Waltham pocket watch. The gold filled hunter case is ornately engraved, The pattern is the same on front and back with the exception of a blank oval for monogramming. This case has not been monogrammed. A beautiful watch to add to ones own collection or for gift giving. Watch movement is marked as American Waltham Watch Co. With the serial number 15288940. Hunter case is marked as Philadelphia Watch Case Co. Guaranteed Twenty Years and the serial number 8898909. Movement is (3/0) 28mm. The outside diameter of the case is 37mm. The watch crystal is missing and will need to be replaced however, the dial is very clean. NO other cosmetic issues i. Loss of gold finish, noticeable scratches or dings. The watch ran for 18 hours on a full wind-up but will need adjusting as it gained time. THIS IS SILVER CASED MOVADO ERMATO CHRONOMETRE PURSE WATCH. IT DATES FROM 1928. IT IS SIGNED ON THE DIAL MOVADO CHRONOMETRE ERMATO SWISS MADE. IT IS SIGNED ON THE BAXCK PLATE STERLING SILVER SWISS MADE 0.935 G. PATENT 1182971 IT IS HALLMARKED ON THE INSIDE OF THE CASE WITH THE LION PASSANT, THE LONDON IMPORT MARK, THEN THE LETTER’n’ FOR THE YEAR 1928. IT ALSO HAS A GERMAN CROWN AND CRESCENT SILVER MARK. IT IS IN VERY CONDITION, WITH JUST SOME NATURAL AGE TO THE SILVER PART OF THE CASE. IT HAS SOME LIGHT NUMBERS SCRATCHED INTO THE CASE WHERE OVER THE YEARS ITS HAD A SERVICE. THE BROWN LEATHER HAS JUST NATURAL AGE, THERE IS A SMALL HOLE ON THE TO LEFT HAND SIDE WHERE I THINK THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A SMALL RING. THE DIAL HAS SOME NATURAL WEAR. THE GLASS IS QUITE CLEAN. THE HANDS HAVE NO LOSS OF PAINT. THIS IS THE MANUAL WIND VERSION OF THE WATCH. IT WINDS SMOOTHLY, AND RUNS WELL, KEEPING GOOD TIME. IT IS 45MM BY 32MM WHEN THE WATCH CASE IS CLOSED.
