1851 Silver Pair Cased Verge Fusee Pocket Watch Geo Gunn Ewhurst Working. Antique Circa 1851 big chunky silver pair cased Verge fusee pocket watch in good working order. The dial is white enamel with hand painted decorated black Roman numerals and gold-coloured hands. The movement is a chain driven fusee with verge escapement Fire gilt plates with round pillars decorated cock over a plain steel balance with regulator. It has a good swinging balance and chain running the full length of its chain keeping fair to good verge time. The movement is marked Geo Gunn Ewhurst and the number 29319. The watch case and its pair case are marked to the inside with London silver hallmarks for 1851 and the makers mark JB WW. It is key wind and set. The dial and bull-eye dial glass are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks apart from a little scratching to the dial glass and a faint hairline to its dial. Both cases are clean and bright and have worn as to their age with all the covers closing nice and tight. The watch measures 49mm excluding crown and its pair case 56mm. Be sure to add me to your.
