Please read the detailed description and if in any doubt, ask questions. Superb 57mm Silver Key-wind Fusee Pocket Watch Beautiful Case and GWO. An excellent fusee pocket watch, in good cosmetic condition, in a lovely case and with a good movement running well. The dial is in good condition I see no chips or cracks but there are a couple of very, very hairlines just left of centre (see photo) which are very difficult to see. All hands are present, correct and matching. The case is silver, measures about 57mm in diameter and carries is hallmarked for Chester 1886. It is a truly lovely case with engraving and chasing to the rear cover and sides, showing very little wear. The rear cover also has some gold or copper? All covers close well, the rear cover needs a little help from a thumbnail to open (as is so often the case) and the crystal is excellent. The movement is partly jewelled and carries the serial number 44005, the last three digits of which are repeated on the case. It winds, sets and runs well. A key will be provided. A superb fusee pocket watch, one of the best in my collection but it is time for it to go to raise some funds. Priced realistically to sell, probably on the low side if anything, and at a level where I cannot really look at offers. Alternatively, collection is possible at a mutually convenient date and time from Shrivenham, just east of Swindon, Wiltshire. SUPERB and HEAVY VERGE FUSEE Pocket Watch. Recently fully serviced and in great working condition! Runs the full length of the chain with a hard sounding tick and keeping very well verge time deviation per 24 hours runtime only a few minutes – WOW!!!! The movement shines like it was made yesterday, is signed “Thoms Leadbeater” from Sandbach and bears the serial number 911. Nice old original hands i think they are of gold or gold gilded? All covers open and close with a tight fit as it should. Enamel dial with arabic numerals in a very good condition! Old glass looks perfect! Both cases have indentical hallmarks for Birmingham, letter C for 1826. Cases are solid sterling silver, hand polished and looking great. Nice blue stone as opening button outer case (see pictures). The movement shines like it was made yesterday, is signed “Thomas Knight” from Stone and bears the early serial number 267. Nice old original blue steel hands. All covers open and close with a tight fit as it should. Enamel dial with name “George Ollivants” on it in a very good condition with a very small restauration on the center hole! Old bulls eye glass looks perfect! Both cases are not identical but it’s a perfect fit. The inner case has hallmarks for Birmingham 1864 and the outer case for London 1858. Hard to find 18s Illinois BUNN 17 Ruby Jewels adjusted to temperature and 5 position isochronism. Case with Railroad engravings is in super condition. Movement is absolutely fabulous to admire. This is a really great late 18thC verge fusee pair cased pocket watch. Excellent solid silver pair case… Outer is 55mm diameter. All hallmarks are very good, especially the outer cover marks which are super-crisp and clear! Wonderful fire-gilt verge movement, with a low serial number of 316. Exquisitely pierced decorated balance cock with very defined grotesque. Could be acrylic replacement… I’m not sure. But all things considered it’s actually pretty damn good! A really cracking example of a 1780 pair cased watch, and a true antique timepiece! 230 years old and still running well! Definitely worthy of any collection, and in such good condition that it’s also very wearable.
