Has a key that winds the movement but the watch doesnt work. If you wind it counter clock wise the chain moves and you hear a winding sound. If you wind clock wise the movement will start working but this doesnt last. The same goes for winding the hands. Has pillars that hold up the top level and extremely well made! Hallmarked SPfon the case and the pocket watch case which translates to Southern Payne 1784..1788 (registered May 1775 & 1784) Case maker, Bridgwater Square, London. Large sized Waltham pocket watch in hallmarked sterling silver case which is hallmarked from Birmingham in the year 1913. Very minor faint hairline to the left and right of small seconds dial at 6 position, dent to case back at bottom on backside, the crystal when bezel is unscrewed comes out, there must be a technique to screwing back on and keeping the crystal in place, I do not have that technique! So it will come with crystal not in the bezel. But will be included. Measures 55mm in diameter. SUPERB and HEAVY VERGE FUSEE Pocket Watch. Recently fully serviced and in great working condition! Runs the full length of the chain with a hard sounding tick and keeping very well verge time deviation per 24 hours runtime only a few minutes – WOW!!!! The movement shines like it was made yesterday, is signed “Thoms Leadbeater” from Sandbach and bears the serial number 911. Nice old original hands i think they are of gold or gold gilded? All covers open and close with a tight fit as it should. Enamel dial with arabic numerals in a very good condition! Old glass looks perfect! Both cases have indentical hallmarks for Birmingham, letter C for 1826. Cases are solid sterling silver, hand polished and looking great. Nice blue stone as opening button outer case (see pictures). All covers open and close with a tight fit as it should. Enamel dial with name “George Ollivants” on it in a very good condition with a very small restauration on the center hole! Old bulls eye glass looks perfect! Both cases are not identical but it’s a perfect fit. The inner case has hallmarks for Birmingham 1864 and the outer case for London 1858.
