Antiques and Jewelry By The Sea. The screw-on bezel and swing-out mechanism work perfectly and close tightly. Light wear throughout the case, with a dent and small ding on the rear. The crown is nice and tight, and the pull-out unlock for the swing-out mechanism is fully functional. The crystal has several chips along the edge, but they are not sharp and do not affect visibility at all. The double-sunk gothic dial has 2 chips along the very edge, which are completely concealed while the bezel is installed. The case engraving along the dial is still quite sharp, and the watch does not contain a monogram. A particularly interesting detail about this pocket watch is the 24 ruby jewels movement, which winds and runs well, and appears very clean overall. The case interior reveals a large amount of service dates, indicating the previous owner regularly serviced this watch throughout the years. Please note: This is an estate item and we have NO service history although the watch is running we have not timed it for accuracy – it has been stored for many years. The beautiful double sunk Montgomery Dial is SIGNED Hamilton Railway Special 23 Jewels in great shape, no hairline or cracks, 2 very small flea bites on the outer edge, the red numerals have faded some. New Crystal and housed in an excellent Minty Hamilton 10K Gold Filled Bar Over Crown case. The Case is in excellent condition, no dents, no dings, no dimples, and no Brass showing, you might see some pocket scratches. Both covers screw ON/OFF Smoothly and seals tight, the Bow is Firm. This beautiful Pocket Watch does include the original Hamilton Cigarette case. That is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and open and closes smoothly. Special Railway 23J HC. 18 size 23 jewel hunting case lever-set Special Railway pocket watch movement/dial/hands. Beautiful high grade movement with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and a spectacular fancy 2-tone gold and nickel damaskeen finish. Fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial. Serial number is 1268005. Running but balance motion is quite sluggish and I think likely this movement hasn’t seen a servicing in many years. Absolutely beautiful movement with superb 2-tone color and luster. Dial has an outer chapter hairline between 3 and 4 O’clock, a light hairline above its seconds-register, an extremely faint hairline below its seconds-register at 28 minutes, and some small edge flakes near 30 minutes. The Dial is a single Sunk porcelain Hamilton dial, with big Arabic Black Numerals & Small Red 24 hour numerals, the dial is in mint condition. Excellent Black Steel hands, the crystal is nice and clear, housed in a beautiful Wadsworth 10K Gold Filled Case. Both covers glide on-off nicely.
