100% all originl Hampden 23j Special Railway, Keeps Time, Original 25yr GF Case, Hands Etc. Crystal is thick beveled glass with normal wear. The double sunk dial is very nice and only has a couple of faint hairlines. The original hands still have the beautiful bluing intact. The movement is the real showpiece here. Very bright two tone with almost no fading out of the gold color, running strong and off less then a minute over 24 hours. Case is original and a Wadsworth Pilot 25 year. I cant see any wear threw at all except for a small portion around one side of the back lid rim and the bow sits up nicely. This interesting and very early example of an English Fusee bears hallmarks for Chester c. 1821-22, unsigned movement but believed to be a Liverpool work, case maker’s marking E. , very attractive and deep floral engraving to the balance cock, key winding and setting with key included, movement has its roller with passing flat and not crescent, and both banking pins on the same side of the lever. This would be an excellent opportunity for a watchmaker to overhaul and end up with 200 year old rarity. For your consideration is this 1920′s Hamilton Grade 912 17 jewel adjusted open face pocket watch, with a matched Hamilton 14K gold filled case. This pocket watch was just overhauled and the mainspring was replaced 7/7/16. High grade movement is cosmetically very nice, and is runs perfect.
