This is a beautiful pocket watch it is another one out of my personal collection, I offer you a 1952 Hamilton 992B Railway Special Pocket Watch 21j, lever set Crown, and stem wind. Model 5, Adjusted to temp. And 6 positions, the movement has been serviced as of 2/20/21 and it is super clean, It Winds, Sets & Runs, keeps a great Time, I just got it back from being serviced, it is ticking strong and keeping amazing time. C357194 Housed in a nice 10K R. Hamilton original Case, No. The crown is in excellent condition the bow is firm, both covers glide on/off smoothly, it is a very nice and clean case near mint, you might detect some pocket scratches on the right side of the case body and a few small nicks on the bow from normal use but nothing major, No dents No brass no dimples. The crystal is new and also close to mint Box Car Dial, Double Sunk, showing a very faint hard-to-see small hairline above the sub-dial and a flea bite at the 53 of the second sub. No chips, no cracks on this dial. The nice Black spade and whip steel hands are intact. The case does show some tiny nicks on the case body from Hamiltons production line. The beautiful single sunk dial is near mint condition, showing a flea bite by the leaver on the edge only. “M INTY” HAMILTON 992B RAILROAD GRADE POCKET WATCH. Because of my age I must sell watches in my collection. The 992B was the last Railroad Grade pocket watch designed by the Hamilton Watch Company. It took about 10 years, from 1931 to 1040, to complete the design. The first 992B from the new design was produced in 1940. Hamilton continued production of 992B’s for Railroad Service until they closed their doors in 1969. This marked the end of American made Railroad Grade pocket watches. This watch is a 1961, Model 5, 992B, 21 Jewels, Adjusted 6 Positions, with a Melamine 121 Heavy Gothic Double Sunk dial in a screw back and bezel Yellow Gold Filled Hamilton #17 case made by the Star Watch Case Company. The Model #17 case was introduced in 1957. This watch, movement SN C474967 was made in 1961. The movement was Produced, Cased and Timed at the Hamilton Watch Company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The watch is in Excellent condition and keeps good time. I don’t know when it was last cleaned so to keep “Railroad Time” again it would need to be serviced.
