Vintage Antique American Waltham 1893 Gold Fill Hunting Case Pocket Watch C3980. Here is an American Waltham gold filled O size pendant watch serial #5573388, made in 1893. The movement is a gold guilt 7 jewel model that looks really cool. The watch is 34.8 millimeters or about 1 5 /8 inches across the front of the watchcase. There is an art nouveau dove engraving on the back of the watchcase. The mechanical (winding type) watch winds, is fully wound, tries to run and stops so it does not run. It does continue to run when I put winding pressure on the winding stem telling me it can be fixed. I see moderate wear from use on the case and it does look pretty cool.. We sell these items as they are and as you see them with some dirt, minor marks or minor damage from use (as is). Please look over the pics. This listing is for an Elgin 15 Jewel Grade 130 BIRD Engraved Case Pocket Watch. It winds and runsC seemingly just fine, but I have not tested it minute accuracy. The movement, number 6934012 is nickel finished and watch face is in good clean condition. The watch case (I believe gold fill) is beautiful and opens, closes and shuts properly. It has a hand done engraving on the front and back, the back has a gorgeous little bird and a flower. The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of styles of decor. It makes this an excellent piece for your collection, one your friends definitely wont have! It is an excellent piece for collectors, gifting, wearing, display / decor, gifting, and more! It is in good condition, with no major damage. Minor wear as usual from use and age- seen photos. This pocket watch comes from a massive estate collection, and was extremely well cared for in a temperature controlled room.
