We have a real nice antique 1887 Waltham fifteen jewels, eighteen size stem wind and set antique pocket watch with a heavy nickel case, recently restored and serviced and in excellent looking & running condition. The Appelton Tracy & Co. Model 1883, fifteen jewels, 18 size full plate movement has a safety pinion, a micro-metric Church regulator, an adjusted balance with solid gold meantime screws and a special alloy hairspring, an engraved balance arm and fancy lettering. It was professionally serviced recently and runs strong. The serial number is 3294186 which dates it to 1887. The uncommon single sunk porcelain 24 Hour dial with Roman Numerals is in excellent condition with some very faint hairlines. The deep blued steel hands are in excellent condition also. The Philadelphia Watch Case Co. Heavy nickel case has a threaded bezel & back and is in excellent condition with very light wear from use. It has a nice engraved scene on the back cover, no dents or monograms. The new old antique stock beveled edge glass crystal is in fine condition. The approximate case measurements are 2-1/4 inches in diameter (not including the bow & crown) x 3/4 inch thick including the crystal. The gold plated crown is in excellent condition, and the heavy nickel bow is tight and in fine condition. This is a real nice restored antique timepiece! Great for your every day carry, or would make a nice gift! (My pictures have some unavoidable shadows, reflections and dust spots that will be cleaned; the watch looks fine in person). Please note that a vintage watch may not be as accurate as a modern watch. Also, please realize that these early watches are not water resistant or waterproof. We are here after the sale and guarantee our restorations for 6 months. (We cannot guarantee a watch that has been rusted, tampered with or damaged). Up for sale is beautiful silver fancy hunter case pocket watch made for the Chinese market, lever escapement movement, watch is in running condition but accuracy not timed. Dirty with stains and scratches, front cover hinge is not close tight. Other hinges and catches are all working fine. Inner front & back cover marked Chinese name. 0.800 2127313. Plastic, yellowed with scratches and seems it was glued to bezel. Dial : White enamel dial with very very few faint hairline, signed Chinese name. Black spade hands with gold tone seconds hand (All are NOT original). Black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. Movement : Key wind key set. 3/4 plate lever escapement in working condition but accuracy not timed, compensation balance with blue steel hairspring, balance staff is OK, 15 jewels. (Does NOT comes with key). The top plate & 3 screws on the mainspring barrel seems not original? So it may need minor adjustment/repair. Overall a beautiful pocket watch with a unique fancy case, believe that it will be a stunning great and beautiful gem after cleaning /minor repair and adding back a suitable glass. I looked up the serial number on the internet and it said it was from 1897. I wound the watch a little and nothing happened. I don’t want to overwind it so I didn’t wind it more.

Elgin 15 Jewel Pocket Watch Fancy Multi Color Face Gold Plated Case Runs as-is. Case has no dents. Front and back screw down properly. Face has half inch hairline emanating at the center moving towards 11:00-see photos. No rub throughs on the Gold plating. Winds and Runs for about 12 hours. A very attractive pocket watch that’s sure to impress.
