Pocket Watch Case

We are starting out the new year with this gorgeous little gem. I’ts a rare 1897 Elgin Fancy Tri Color Gold size 6, 15 Jewels Full Hunter Pocket Watch. This vintage pocket watch features a mechanical hand-winding movement with Roman numerals on a beautiful mint light lavender dial. The watch has a yellow, white, and rose gold filled case with a full hunter closure, making it a unique and stylish piece of jewelry and collectible. Its pretty enameled dial and pendant escapement add to its charm and functionality, making it a desirable item for collectors of pocket watches. I almost added this one to my personal collection. This gem is even more prettier in person. Condition is good Pre-owned. Always accepting reasonable offers.

The watch is wound too tight. The case measures 54.7mm wide. The back case cover has a Stag engraved on it (see picture 2). The case shows wear and has some tarnish. The dial is marked Hampden Watch Co. There is a crack between the 5 and 6 o’clock positions (see picture 5). The inside of the front and back covers are marked Warranted 14k E. Co which makes this case a gold filled case. The inside of the movement cover is marked with a flag with a star in the center of it. The movement is marked Dueber Grand, Canton, Ohio, 17 Jewels. This Sterling Silver & Multi Color Gold Hunter Case Fancy Dial Elgin Pocket Watch is a vintage timepiece from the early 20th century (Circa 1915). Featuring a mechanical manual gilt movement with 7 jewels and Roman numerals on a fancy blue and white enameled dial with silver highlights. This pocket watch is equipped with a full hunter closure and a snap caseback. The beautiful fancy dial is in extra fine condition. The polished sterling silver case has rose gold and yellow gold floral decoration. The Keystone case is in extra fine condition with no dents or dings. Absolutely beautiful hand tooled metal work. The intials EP are on one side while a small engraved village scene is on the other side. The case is marked Keystone Sterling. All covers open and close appropriately. The watch is approximately 42mm in diameter, size 6. Ornate pierced Louis XIV hands add to the ornate beauty of this watch. The watch was made in the United States. This Elgin pocket watch also includes features such as a seconds hand and a 12-hour dial, adding to its functionality and classic design. The watch runs well and sets time smoothly.
