Vintage Pocket Watch Case Pendant Necklace – Hand Painted Running Rabbits & Stars – 14K Gold Filled Bar Chain. This is a lovely, high-quality vintage Japanese damascene necklace paired with a hand-painted antique pocket watch case. The delicate gold-tone and matte black chain features links with traditional Japanese motifs and retains its original damascene clasp. Inside the gold-filled watch case locket is a tiny, detailed miniature painting of running rabbits and stars in silver and gold on a black ground. I painted this miniature myself using gouache-an ancient medium traditionally used for fine miniature art. The painting measures just 1 inch in diameter and is sealed beneath an antique pocket watch crystal for protection. The gold-filled watch case is accented with small black spinel cluster bead drops, adding a beautiful touch of movement and sparkle. The necklace measures 16 inches long. A truly spectacular, one-of-a-kind assemblage piece.

Offered for sale is an authentic vintage Illinois pocket watch featuring a 17-jewel mechanical movement housed in a gold-filled open-face case. The Vintage Hampden Grade Special Railway 18s 23 jewel pocket watch is snap bezel display case. Watch is currently running as shown on the time graph photos. Case lids are very different to snap on and off so buyers is aware. I use been using a razor blade to pop them off. The front bezel to access the setting lever takes a lot of pressure to go back on. Crystals are all thick class. I would consider the case more of a poor quality one. The movement as it runs can see on the time graph it’s not running the best but stays running and keeps very close time till the mainspring is let down. Dial has some imperfections but in nice shape. Condition can be made by your own judgement by photos. Great piece to just displays the gorgeous movement.

The watch is wound too tight. The case measures 54.7mm wide. The back case cover has a Stag engraved on it (see picture 2). The case shows wear and has some tarnish. The dial is marked Hampden Watch Co. There is a crack between the 5 and 6 o’clock positions (see picture 5). The inside of the front and back covers are marked Warranted 14k E. Co which makes this case a gold filled case. The inside of the movement cover is marked with a flag with a star in the center of it. The movement is marked Dueber Grand, Canton, Ohio, 17 Jewels. Please take a look at all of the pictures for condition.
