Fairly scarce Rockford 545 Railroad pocket watch, only 5500 or so are known to have been produced, (some estimates are much lower). This 16 Size watch is in a Keystone’J. Boss’ 14K yellow gold filled double hinge case. The 21 Jewel Fully Adjusted Class A Railroad Grade movement winds & sets smoothly and runs strong. Correct thick glass beveled crystal. Watch has a clean appearance inside and out. Case shows very shallow indentions to the back, difficult to see…. Use the zoom for a super close-ups. Rockford Full Hunter Pocket Watch, 18s, 17j, 25yr Wadsworth G/F Case. A beautiful large Rockford full hunter pocket watch in lovely condition and working order. The top quality 25 yr gold filled case is by Wadsworth with engraving over the exterior. Hinges are good, no rub through to plating. Front cover springs open from crown. Some wear to closing point. Bow has slight damage to one side. Internal cover closes tightly. Probably had an inscription which has been removed. Very clean hunter crystal. Movement is a top quality 17 jewel, Grade 835 movement dating to 1908. Very clean and in running condition. Keeps reasonable time but loses about 15 mins per day with regulator on middle position. Wound from the crown with lever hand setting. A lovely clean example of a top quality American pocket watch. Will be carefully packaged.
