Up for sale is a lot of 1 1 Pocket Watches. These watches are old and will need cleaned , serviced , and some repairs are to be expected. Im including a brief description of each , if you have any questions about a particular watch please ask and i will try to answer to the best of my abilities. All of the watches do run , t h e y may need a slight shake to help get t h e m started after being wound. But they d o all seem to keep running for a l o n g period o nce started. Waltham – Philadelphia Watch Case Co. Warranted 2 0 Years , s m o o t h gold colored front / back / dustcover , Waltham Movement. No monograms on the case , though there is something written on the dial. I’m not sure if it is a name of a person , company , or what. Winds , sets , and runs. There is something that needs attention , when winding the crown it slips (feels like a gear slipping to me , it catches then slips , catches then slips , it seems to catch b e t t e r whe n pushed down while w i n d i n g) , also the movement i s running a bit fast I noticed. Winds , sers , and runs. When setting the time , the gear slips some. Elgin – 15 jewel elgin side-winding movement , base metal case with screw on back , no monograms. Elgin – Supreme I. Case w i t h stripes and shield on the back , no monograms , screw on back. Illinois 12 size pocket watch that was made in 1926. It has 17 jewels adjusted and it is a double roller model. It has a very rare case, it is shaped like a “shield” or an arrowhead. The case is gold filled. Runs great and keeps good time within a minute a day. This is a very large & heavy American Gentleman’s Silver pocket watch, the watch retains its original white enamel dial & hands as well as what looks to be the original hand cut thich glass, its just totally original and comes from an old estate. The watch has a very low serial number for a Springfield at #806 its from the very first year of production in 1872 and the second grade to be made from what i can tell, it was started with the “Stuart” grade and then the “Mason”. The watch is not working and has imperfections, we have not tried to wind and the balance seems ok but is sticky and does not want to move freely, please assume it needs a full strip down and service at the very least. The case is incredible as the whole watch weighs just shy of 7 ounces troy!!! A massive solid Coin Silver case by Dueber with a makers symbol of an Anchor? The case is a very well made huge case but even has solid Gold hinges like all of the best Silver watch cases have. Size: approx 6 cm across the watch case. This is a big watch, it measures from side to side 61.5 mm. The dial is clean with no hairline , you can see in the pictures. Winds and sets smooth. The case looks good, has a few small dents and dings , which is normal for its age. The glass is nice, looks new. Its a Lever set and stem wind.
