Pocket Watch Case

This is a very large & heavy American Gentleman’s Silver pocket watch, the watch retains its original white enamel dial & hands as well as what looks to be the original hand cut thich glass, its just totally original and comes from an old estate. The watch has a very low serial number for a Springfield at #806 its from the very first year of production in 1872 and the second grade to be made from what i can tell, it was started with the “Stuart” grade and then the “Mason”. The watch is not working and has imperfections, we have not tried to wind and the balance seems ok but is sticky and does not want to move freely, please assume it needs a full strip down and service at the very least. The case is incredible as the whole watch weighs just shy of 7 ounces troy!!! A massive solid Coin Silver case by Dueber with a makers symbol of an Anchor? The case is a very well made huge case but even has solid Gold hinges like all of the best Silver watch cases have. Size: approx 6 cm across the watch case. This is a key wind Elgin & Ryeson hunter case Mason dial Pocket Watch. The Watch is 60 mm on the case without stem it is running I do not know how to set and dont want to brake it so I dont know if it keep good time. It has a broke glass it hard to see and has fob and key. Its one large watch and is very Old I think1890ies but not sure and would make a nice gift. This is a very high end and unique LeCoultre Split Second pocket watch. The 14 Karat Gold case has no initials engraved on it. It has a 14KT dust cover as well as a plastic dust cover. The total weight of this watch is 144 grams. This is a Mason’s watch that achieved a very high level of Shriner. I’m sure it has not been serviced in decades – but keeps good time and split second functions and resets properly. It is a heavy case. Speaking of the case it measures 53 mm in diameter not including the crown. The thickness of the watch is 19mm. It is an impressive piece.
