For sale is a triple cases tombac material (gold, mercury and brass) covered tortoise shell edward prior verge fusee pocket watch. The watch has been manufactured by Edward Prior watchmaster who is the brother of George Prior. The dial is an ottoman style and in perfect condition. There is no hans on the dial but can be fixed as the main shaft is exsiting and not broken. The 3rd case had been covered with a tortoise shell and it is in perfect condition. Description: A beautiful gold filled case showing a bird, flowers and leaves. Same pattern is repeated on both sides. Size: Case measures a little over 1 1/2″ in diameter (1 9/16″ to be exact). Condition: This watch is in working condition. The case is in good condition showing minor wear / tarnish. The gold filled case shows no base metals showing through and it retains a good finish. All of the covers open and close properly.
