The dial is in a perfect condition has the beautiful original gold. Tone poker and beetle hands, the crystal glass is also in a near. All 4 sterling silver cases are in an very good condition, the third case. Is covered with tortoiseshell, all covers from the cases open and. Close perfectly, hallmarked for the city London, year letter L. What stands for the year 1806. This is really a very impressive heavy watch, measures. Across 81mm, including bow 92mm. Thick 38mm, weight 298 grams. George Prior was a watchmaker from 1765 through 1812, his son. Edward Prior was a watchmaker from 1800 through 1868. The #s on the movement are, 5771299, made in 1894. This is a big watch, it measures from side to side 54.5 mm. The dial is clean with a few light hairlines , you can see in the pictures. Winds and sets smooth. The case looks good, has a few small dents and dings , which is normal for its age. The glass is new, very nice, its a Lever set and stem wind. This watch is currently not running, it has a broken balance and it is in need of service. It dates to about 1881 and it is an 11 Jewel and it is an 18s, Grade WM. The case is a nice Engraved Sterling Silver case, it will have small wear, scratches, and dings as it was worn. The rear case is unattached and needs to be repaired by a jeweler who can weld.
