Hamilton 23 Jewel 950b Case A Mint Condition And Working Perfectly

In my opinion and I can assure you it is one that is shared amongst most collectors I know, this watch is considered to be one of the finest railroad watches ever made. Maybe even the best made by an American founded company. It was kept in a WW2 veteran’s safe for years in the back of a closet. Now I feel it is time to go to someone who can truly appreciate it. I will entertain reasonable offers. No scratches or cracks in crystal face. First manufactured in 1941. Very low serial number. This watch was produced in 1947. Thats only 6 years into production! That’s out of almost 30k that where produced during that period that they where manufactured. On the inside of the back of the case is etched “10k gold filled”. The porcelain dial is white and features black Arabic numbers with a subsidiary seconds dial upon the sixth hour. Below the twelve hour it states “Hamilton 23 Jewels Railway Special”. Upon opening the back you will see that the movement is presented on a bridge plate and is engraved Hamilton Watch Co U. A”, “950B 23 Jewels”, serial number “S4538″, and “ADJ. Each gold gear and Ruby balance stone shines as bright as it did the day it left Hamilton’s show room floor. It has and forever will stand the test of time. This has the lowest serial number on the market at the moment! Keep that in mind. Price reflects this fact.
