Here’s a fairly uncommon 18 size Hamilton 941 with two tone special finish. The original porcelain multi colored dial is signed Hamilton. It has a light blue center with a darker blue border that is much more handsome. In hand than in the pictures. There is faint hairlines at 3. The fancy guilt hands. Are in fine condition and the crystal appears to be glass and scratch free. The movement is spectacular. There is no wash out to the gold inlay. The hardware is all in very nice shape. It winds superb and runs strong. It keeps accurate time. The Fahy’s No. 1 Conquerer heavy box hinge case is in fine condition. Degrees and close properly. Engravings are still very sharp and there. Rare Imperial Duplex Chinese Pocket Watch Key Wind Gold Tone Case. We’ve read that the movements may have been made by Bovet, Fleurer and Jacot, but we can’t say 100%. The watch winds and runs, but not for very long; it needs a good servicing. Key time adjustment works , k ey is missing. The watch is marked 46538 inside, outside case is gold tone, and measures 3 1/4. The watch does have some wear and scratches. Offered is an Illinois Bunn Special hunter as shown. The heavy case shows tiny brass areas on high points. All covers have tight hinges, none opening past 90 degrees. The dial has an edge flake and associated hairline as shown, not too noticeable with bezel in place. Movement sparkles, big ruby jewels reflect in gold settings, and runs with good motion. Gold portions are a somewhat washed out, and winding is rough – probably needs greased at least. Has not been timed for accuracy or duration. A very collectible watch. Heuer Chronograph Pocket Watch. Made by Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG. Weight: 2.8 oz. Distance top to bottom (including Bow): 64 mm. Thickness (including crystal): 11 mm. No Original Box or Papers. Includes Cloth Heuer Carrying Case (see pic 12). Stem Wind & Set. Size: 18 lignes (16s American). All Writings & Markings: Black. All Hands: Dark Blue. Center Sweep Seconds for Chronograph. Material: Stainless Steel, with some parts Gold-Plated. Bezel: Snap On/Off [seems gold-plated]. Caseback & Dust Cover: Hinged. Set Time: Pull crown up and turn clockwise. Case – Good condition. What appears to be gold plating on the Bezel is fading a bit and even more so on the side of the case. This flaw is really hard to capture with pictures, but it stands out… There are some tiny scratches near the place one opens the Caseback (see Pic 4). My watchmaker had to do this because we could not get the Caseback open to take pictures. It was shut so tight! … There are some very light scratches and discoloration on the outer case back and dust cover (see Pics 7 & 10). But the inner Caseback is near perfect (see Pic 11). Crystal – Very Good condition. With magnification one can see a few black specs, but otherwise in excellent condition. Dial – Excellent condition. I did not see the need to snap open the Bezel, as one can see the dial is in near mint condition! Crown & Bow – Very Good condition. It seems like both the Bow were hardly used over the years, because they are excellent cosmetic condition. The crown works flawlessly. Hands – Very Good condition. Even with magnification one can see very few flaws in the paint. Judging by the condition of the movement and the lack of marks on the inner Caseback, it seems to me that the movement was never serviced in its life! … I have tested it for a few days and it runs about 40 seconds fast per 24 hours. The one time that I nearly wound it all the way, the movement stopped. And I had to shake the watch repeatedly to get it to run again. So, clearly, I would not recommend winding it to full strength! There is plenty of evidence to suggest that this pocket watch was very lightly used over the years and spent most of that time in a drawer or safe. The diameter of the round shaped stainless steel case is 49,3mm not including the crown. Full length is 60mm. It is 13,9mm thick. Specifics of this model. 1 – IWC high grade watch with an original two tone Art Deco dial. 2 – IWC rare and extraordinary. 67 caliber, entirely designed and built in house by IWC. 3 – Art Deco staybrite stainless steel case, the best stainless steel available for watch making at the time.
