The watch is of open face design with sterling silver case by Arthur George Rendell of London and stem-wind movement with chain ring. The watch is not currently working, however the movement appears complete (refer photos, be your own judge). The case is in reasonably good order, with the dial having a few scratches. The watch is without monogram or crest, with the second hand missing. A great watch for parts or restoration. The watch has an overall diameter of 52mm and weighs in at 93gms unpacked. Zenith pocket watch for repair reads spiral Breguet on the dust cover and 15 rubies, double plateau, levees visible, 1896 Geneve. The hairspring looks good but the staff is bad held level when I put pressure on the crown it would run. Original zenith dial shows crack hair lines and chip. 945 silver finer than Sterling case shows dents on the rear cover and some patina spots that did not want to easily polish off. This is a pin set watch and the bow is also worn through to brass. A rare example and a welcome addition to any collection for restoration, parts, or collection. It has no crystal or hands. Hello and welcome to another of my listings!! Today for your consideration is this Classic Form Rockford Transitional 18s Coin Silver Hunter Case Pocket Watch, circa 1882! This watch is currently ticking upon winding sitting on my desk. It appears to be missing the setting lever, when I removed the bezel I did not see it, though there is a cut for it. I do not know if it is broken or just missing. I strongly recommend a servicing as I do not know it’s service history. It dates to 1882 according to pocket Watch database and it is 9 Jewels and it is an 18s, Transitional Model. It does not come with a key. Dial has a number of hairlines on it. The case is a well worn coin silver Hunter case, opens when button is pressed to way past 90°. It has small dings and a lot of wear as this was someone’s daily wearer. Please see my photos as they can describe this watch better than I can!! Again it will have wear as it was worn as someone’s daily timepiece 100+ years ago. This is a rare and early Illinois Watch Company (Springfield Illinois) 1887 18s 7j Key Wind Pocket Watch with Chicago Coin Silver case. It runs great and includes key and fob. The serial number on the movement is 836648 which dates this to 1887. The case is stamped “Chicago Coin” with the crescent logo which dates the case to about 1885. It is made of coin silver which is 90% silver. The watch was cleaned and serviced by a local jeweler in 2008 which is marked on the inside of the movement cover. The clear crystal on the front is made of plastic and does have scratches but free of cracks. The white watch face itself has a few hairlines between 3 and 4 o’clock, and also between 7 and 8 o’clock. The case has some dents mainly near the hinge for the face (see pics). This is a big watch, it measures from side to side 61.25 mm. The dial is clean with a couple of light hairlines, you can see in the pictures. The glass is ok has a few light scratches.. Winds and sets smooth. The case looks good, has a few small dents and dings, which is normal for its age. Its a lever set and stem wind.
