18 size Coin Silver open face pocket watch case missing the crystal, Crown-winding stem, and bow. There are no inner springs, and the hinges seem stronger. There are dents, dings and scratches. It measures over 2 1/8 inches across not including the stem, and weighs over 75 grams on my scale. Look very closely at the photos as they are part of the Description.

A beautiful example of late 19th-century Swiss decorative silverwork. Dating to the late Victorian / Belle Époque period, this richly decorated Swiss pocket watch case was produced by Perret & Berthoud of Locle, one of Switzerland’s historic watchmaking centers. The exterior is adorned with intricate ivy, grapevine, and floral motifs executed in traditional niello work, a decorative technique in which engraved silver is filled with a dark metallic alloy to create striking contrast and depth. The resulting black-and-silver surface highlights the flowing botanical forms associated with the Art Nouveau movement and the decorative arts of the Belle Époque era. At the center rests an untouched cartouche framed by the surrounding niello decoration. The reverse features an additional polished reserve, also left unmonogrammed, a desirable detail as many surviving examples from the period were personalized. Circa 1882 Waltham pocket watch PS Bartlett model 1877 key wind movement housed in a silver case (grade unknown). Running watch in overall good condition, the crystal has scratches and wear due to age and use. Vintage Elgin 12S Pocket Watch. Serial number shows it was manufactured in 1909. Case is nickel and appears silver in finish and is in beautiful condition for being well over 100 years old. Dial looks clean, no major imperfections on the glass. The watch is over 100 years old and its not in perfect condition and should be expected to have minor scratches and scuffs in the metal finish as shown in the included photos. I wound the watch up and let it run over night and it held time. The crown and stem are included however they will need to be reattached to each other, the crown popped off the stem. This will need to be reattached before you can wind the watch up however you can make the wheel turn and it will spin and the watch will start ticking as should be expected.
