Offered is a nice Illinois RR style pocket watch. The enamel double sunk dial is in great condition, as are the plum hands. The Fahys RR style short pendant case shows well, with a new plastic crystal, firm bow, and covers that screw on and off smoothly. There is honest wear with small rings of brass showing at the lid edges and case body. The movement runs with good motion and is in excellent condition, the red enamel inlay on the balance cock is a nice touch. Here is a super clean Elgin 14k SOLID gold Hunter’s Case pocket watch. Check out how crisp the engraving design is on this pocket watch case!!! The 45.7 mm case does not look much different then when it was new in 1926. Most watch cases show some wear from being carried for all of those years. This one must of sat in a drawer most of its life. This Elgin Hunter’s Case watch has a clean SIGNED dial. I had my watchmaker replaced the crystal with a new old stock crystal. The watch has a SIGNED 17 jewel model 2, class 113, grade 344 stem wound and stem set movement and is running. Serial # 28,675,375 dates this Elgin to 1926. It has gold jewel settings and screwed chatons which you don’t usually see in gold cased watches. There is a Moseley regulator on this above average Elgin movement. The front case hinge is slightly over sprung and the back and dust cover hinges are great. This Elgin watch has a bird or swan theme case front and back. Super sharp detail on this case and shows almost no wear. The case and movement weigh 38 pennyweight or 59.3 grams as pictured. This is an excellent antique Hamilton 18 size 21 jewel adjusted #941 pocket watch in a case out of an estate! The lever-set movement has is marked: Hamilton Watch Co. Safety Pinion 21 Jewels Adjusted 257675. The movement features gold jewel settings, excellent finishing, and dates to 1902. The serial number indicates that it’s a 941. The double-sunk dial is simply marked Hamilton. The dial is in fair condition, with some small chips along the edge visible when the bezel/crystal is removed. The dial also has some hairlines in the finish, and a larger chip by the set-lever. The watch will currently wind/set, and will run when wound. The case is in excellent condition, with nice tight hinges, and showing only light scratches, with no wear-through in the finish other than around the inside of the bow. Inside the case back is marked: 103899. We do not know the service history on this watch, and recommend it be serviced to keep running and keep time.
