This Railroad Grade pocket watch winds and runs well. The watch crystal is in good shape with no cracks, chips or scratches. The dial has two very light hairline cracks (difficult to see even with magnifier) near the five marker, otherwise in great shape and the numbers are crisp and clear. The watch is lever set and stem wound and both work as they should to set/wind it. The nickel movement is clean. Movement is marked: “19 Jewels, Canton O, Railway, Safety Pinion, Double Roller, Adjusted to Five Positions”. It has screw-set jewel settings. The B&B Royal 20 Year Swing Out Case is gold filled. There is wear on the bottom edge of the watch case as well as a small spot on the pendant. The case back is engraved and has a very small pin-sized nick. Details for this watch include. 1952 Hamilton 992B Railway Special Pocket Watch 21j in a 10K R. This is a beautiful pocket watch it is another one out of my personal collection, I offer you a 1952 Hamilton 992B Railway Special Pocket Watch 21j, lever set Crown, and stem wind. Model 5, Adjusted to temp. And 6 positions, the movement has been serviced as of 2/20/21 and it is super clean, It Winds, Sets & Runs, keeps a great Time, I just got it back from being serviced, it is ticking strong and keeping amazing time. C357194 Housed in a nice 10K R. Hamilton original Case, No. The crown is in excellent condition the bow is firm, both covers glide on/off smoothly, it is a very nice and clean case near mint, you might detect some pocket scratches on the right side of the case body and a few small nicks on the bow from normal use but nothing major, No dents No brass no dimples. The crystal is new and also close to mint Box Car Dial, Double Sunk, showing a very faint hard-to-see small hairline above the sub-dial and a flea bite at the 53 of the second sub. No chips, no cracks on this dial. The nice Black spade and whip steel hands are intact. The Electric Railway Special was designed for trolley and light-rail drivers who did not require a watch that met the criteria for mainline railroad service. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 50mm (2) diameter. This watch features a gold-filled screw back and bezel case, a 17-jewel adjusted stem-wind stem-set Grade 956 movement, and a single-sunk Montgomery style Electric Railway Special porcelain dial with Arabic numerals. The Elgin yellow gold filled case is in excellent condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and no visible brassing.
