Very nice and seldom seen genuine US military issued pocket watch WWII that still has its original shock absorber outer case. These outer cases have all perished over the years. The rubber of this outer case has become hardened over time and I have therefore left it off of the watch. It would be easy to damage if not careful. The watch has a 17J Elgin movement that is very clean and running quite strong. The original dial is excellent and has the minute markers in red. CYMA Retro Art Deco Tank-Styled Watch, Rare 900 Silver Case, Original Velvet Box. This is a rare find CYMA retro tank-styled wristwatch, originally intended for men but is more unisex today. Most tank-styled Cyma are gold-plated or in stainless steel, but this one has an original 900 Silver case. At 26.5 mm wide (not counting the crown), this is also a larger watch than the mid-century retro art deco watches (usually only 22 mm wide). The dial is in beautiful matte silver finish, with calligraphy printed Arabic numerals, a second sub-dial, and cathedral hands. The watch has a 17 jewels Cyma hand-winding movement that has been tested to be keeping good time. The condition of this watch is excellent – only usual minor buffs that are hardly noticeable at all. The 900 Silver case will tend to tarnish over time and need some wiping with a silver polishing cloth occasionally. The watch is still kept in its original Cyma velvet watch box with tag attached. This is a massive pocket Watch which measures 76mm wide x 108mm long x 22mm deep. This a Swiss watch which was made for and retailed by the prestigious Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company in Regent Street, London. The watch comes with its original leather case, which stands upright and would stand on a desk. Movement the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and has an 8 day mainspring. The movement is in 95% mint condition. Case the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel.
