Beautifully hand engraved/engine-turned case with flowers and shield framed on either side, having no monograms. Keystone case, marked “14K”. A MODEL 1890 AMERICAN WALTHAM WATCH CO. 6 size, 15 Jewel, 32mm diameter, pendant set nickel movement, housed in a Roy, 14k solid gold, 6 size, Hunting Case. The case is decoratively hand engraved, in excellent condition, and is free of any personalized markings or damages. Movement features damaskeening, has a gold center wheel and jewel settings, and is running. The dial has some hairlines (see pics), but they do not detract from the watches appearance. This is a true Civil War classic American Watch Co. Bartlett most likely an 11 jewel with the large “window pane” jewels. The single sunk porcelain dial is in excellent condition with no visible hairlines or damage and comes with #5 key. The serial number is 161, xxx ca. It features a 3 oz. Coin silver hunting case in decent condition for it’s age. The front cover opens slightly past 90 and it has some minor battles scars as to be expected. Overall, the case is in good condition showing the typical wear and dings from 156 year life! The watch is running, but I don’t know when it was last serviced, so no guarantee to accuracy or extended run time. The movement is clean with typical aging.
