This is a very cool and hard to find “Space age” Novelty pocket watch, its similar to the Dan Dare Novelty watch but this version which I think is called either “From outer Space” or “Lost in Space” is really difficult to find in good original working condition like this. It has turned up in a local estate and has sat in an old draw within its original stand for possibly the last 5 decades if not longer, the overall condition is just remarkable and its clearly been well looked after and away from sun light, I do not know what they sell for and its the first we have found with the original Cream painted stand / clock conversion case and its just such a great example, because they are very cheaply made watches and designed to only last a few months an example in this original state is really uncommon. The watch winds very well and hand sets, its also working when wound, I had my watchmaker look at the watch and he said it still retains much of the original finish and has clearly seen little use. The timekeeping was not tested but he suggested that its doing well as set. The case is the classic watch stand 2 part case in its original cream paint, it has a couple very minor chips but its all original which is rather cool looking. The movement is the classic Ingersol type “Made in England” & its working well at present with both the head nod of the astronaut and the revolving star. Just a super looking watch with a great original dial and hands, overall a very nice vintage silver pocket watch. Size: approx 4.8 cm across the watch case. This is an excellent Hamilton 16 size 21 jewel adjusted 992B pocket watch in a Wadsworth 10k gold filled case out of an estate! The lever-set movement is marked: Hamilton Watch Co. 992B 21 Jewels Adj. And 6 Positions C459764. As of listing it, the watch is running, and smooth to wind/set. We do not know the service history and recommend it be serviced. The dial is marked Hamilton Railway Special. The dial is in good condition, other than a small ding on the edge between 4 and 5 o’clock. The original glass crystal has some light scratches, but is in great overall condition – see photos. The case is in great condition, showing only light scratches. Inside the case back is marked: Wadsworth 10K Gold Filled PAT. This is an incredible find for a collector out of an estate! 100% all originl Hampden 23j Special Railway, Keeps Time, Original 25yr GF Case, Hands Etc. Crystal is thick beveled glass with normal wear. The double sunk dial is very nice and only has a couple of faint hairlines. The original hands still have the beautiful bluing intact. The movement is the real showpiece here. Very bright two tone with almost no fading out of the gold color, running strong and off less then a minute over 24 hours. Case is original and a Wadsworth Pilot 25 year. I cant see any wear threw at all except for a small portion around one side of the back lid rim and the bow sits up nicely. 1893 Elgin National Watch Company, U. 18 size, seven jewels stem wind & set large antique pocket watch in excellent looking and running condition. The movement was professionally serviced recently, runs strong & keeps good time. The serial number on the grade 73 movement is 5366691 which dates it to 1893. The full plate seven jewel movement has a safety pinion and nice engraving on the balance arm. The single sunk porcelain enameled 24 hour dial with roman numerals is in very good condition with some light hairlines, and the deep blued steel hands are in fine condition. The crystal is a brand new G-S high dome acrylic model. The original Keystone Cyclone hinged cover model rolled gold filled case is in excellent condition for its age with light pocket wear, no dents. There are small, faded initials on the back which are not very noticeable looks like B. Please see the picture. The approximate case measurements are 2-1/4 inches in diameter (not including the bow & crown) x 3/4 inch thick including the crystal. The hinges work fine and the covers snap shut tight. The bow and winding crown are in very good condition with light wear. Included with your watch is a modern 12-3/4 inches long gold plated chain with nice large links. This is a nice original early timepiece that is well preserved. Great for everyday use, or would make a fine gift! Also great for Re-enactors. My pictures have many shadows, reflections and dust spots that will be cleaned; the watch looks fine in person! Please note that an antique watch may not be as accurate as a modern watch.
