This unique watch is an antique WWI era pocket watch movement in a custom fabricated stainless steel wrist watch case. The case was custom made and hand crafted by a European master watchmaker in Budapest, Hungary. Free from any scratches or marks. Bezels and the lug bars are polished while the sides are brushed. Case measures 46mm in diameter. Again, case was not bought but machined from a solid block of stainless steel. Movement is freshly cleaned and fully functional. Dial is re-printed in satin black. Like many of this era, it states that it has won awards in 1905 and 1906. There is a serial number on the case is 113525. This is a full hunter’s case comprised of filled gold. Overall, the case is in nice condition though there is some minor pitting on the exterior sides. The manual wind mechanism functions flawlessly as does the Quarter Hour repeater. It keeps accurate time. The repeater chimes in a single tone, once for each hour. It chimes in two tones for each quarter hour, so at 6:31, it will chime six times, and then issue a two tone chime twice, once for each of the past two quarter hours. Case size is 46mm and weight is 75 grams. It’s a solid watch and perfect for any function. The face is likely enamel. There is no chain included. It will be insured for the sale price.
