This pocket watch was made in about 1923. It is in good running order and keeping time. The watch is in a seemingly original. 14k Roy hunter case #397336, in good condition with no dents. The covers open and close properly. It has a somewhat worn engraved monogram on one cover. The watch has a seemingly original fancy, embossed metal dial with black Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial. The dial is in good condition. The watch has black open cathedral hands, in good condition. The plastic crystal is in excellent condition. 12-size, about 46mm in diameter. It weighs 68.8 grams. The watch is stem wound and stem set. Model 6 23-jewel, double roller, motor barrel nickel movement, adjusted to 6 positions, serial #4,395,483. Losely resembles a 16-size Sangamo Special. Script dial with some damage under the bezel at the edge by the 3 hour mark, missing the second hand, the pinion is there and also missing the crystal. Bright running nickel movement, with the winding wheels showing some marks and spotting. Scarce 16 size open face gold-filled Pugh Brothers Special Railroad Model pocket watch case. The Pugh Brothers were official watch inspectors for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, and their Special Railroad Model cases were produced by the Wadsworth Watch Case Co. And feature terrific inner lid engraving with the words “Pugh Brothers, Jewelry, Pittsburg PA, Special Railroad Model”, an image of an oncoming train, and a terrific fancy decorative engraving around the perimeter. This example i s particularly attractive as its exterior also has an engraved train image. Very nice case with a strong in hand look and feel. Rear of case has good engraving detail showing just some mild wear at its shoulders, and rear of case has some mild shallow compression type denting at center. Vintage Illinois Men’s 12 Size Pocket Watch. This vintage Illinois pocket watch is 12 size (case diameter 44 mm). The movement is 17 jewels and marked Adjusted 3 positions. Movement condition is excellent. Movement has gilt trim, and a little bit of the black lettering has come out. The case is white gold filled and very nice with just a little brass on the bow. This is a scarce rigid bow style case. Dial is original with some minor speckles. Nice watch from the 1920s or 1930s. This watch runs and keeps reasonable time, but I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced. Sorry, this is NOT a “Make Offer” listing.
