1851 English Sterling Silver Key Wind Open Face Pocket Watch Case. The sterling silver case is hallmarked London with date letter Q for 1851 & is approx 37mm in diameter. This is a 10 karat rolled gold plate pocket watch case. Made by the Illinois Watch Case company. It weighs 48.1 grams. Including the plastic crystal, crown, stem and sleeve. I normally don’t sell my gold field or gold plated cases. The cover screw on and off easily and there is no wear through. It does have a couple dings/scratches.
