Please check out this wonderful and rare antique 1894 Waltham Royal Sterling Silver & Multi Color gold fancy Hunter case pocket watch. This gorgeous piece is quite rare. The impressive sterling silver 12s case measures 47.7mm Diameter x 60mm weighing 71.7 grams total , with crown resting on the 3 marker. The case also has a personal monogram (G J W). This case is marked C. THE CASE HAS A CLEAN SEPARATION ON THE BOTTOM HINGE , AND NEEDS REPAIR. White porcelain dial with roman numerals and is in very good condition showing no visible hairlines or chips very clean. The crystal does show scratches. These type watches are difficult to precisely attribute. It is known that the bosley type regulator on the watch was not commonly used until after 1820. Similar movements with same case & markings (AP sponsor hallmark especially) have been found with papers showing Arthur Pitts Jr, Watch and Clock Maker, Middleborough Ma as the importer/finisher.
