We only sell 100% AUTHENTIC items. This watch has spectacular high relief ornamentation on the case and caseback and even a diamond on it. It is also one of the smallest pocket watches made by Longines Watch Co at just 21.5mm diameter without the crown/pendant. Case hallmark shows that this case was made in Switzerland, most definitely custom ordered for an important client. Condition-wise the watch is running well but we cannot guarantee timekeeping accuracy as we don’t know its service history. Cosmetically it is in such wonderful shape for its age and considering that all of the raised gold sculpturing has no damage or bent to them it’s just a great speciman. BEST ORNATE SOLID 14K 18S FULL HUNTER CASE AMERICAN WALTHAM POCKET WATCH Here we are offering a truly stunning American Waltham full hunter pocket watch. 18S, serial number 10459189, produced in 1901, stem wind, lever set, 15 jewel movement. As beautiful as the engine turned decoration is on this movement, it is the solid 14K gold case that is the stand-out. It is comprised of a combination of yellow and rose gold decoration with a flower basket on one side and a vacant cartouche on the other. Other regions are all profusely engraved with tight scrolling designs. The hinge area and shoulders are beefy and impressive, which really balances out the overall appearance. The front cover springs open as it should when the crown is depressed. Please note that although the case is solid 14K, the bow and possibly the winding crown are plated. Also note that the porcelain face does have several tight hairline cracks that appear stable and show no evidence of chipping or loss. This is a visually stunning timepiece that is in excellent working order and keeps great time. As soon as you begin twisting the crown the balance wheel immediately comes to life. This is a stunning and unusual watch in my opinion. It is a 16 Size Hunter’s Case Gold Leaf Dial American Waltham that dates back to 1895. The 15 year gold filled case measures 52.4 mm wide not including the bow and crown. Still has it’s paper guaranty from the J. Boss Watch Case Co. In the inside of the back lid!!! How cool is that!!! The case show some light wear but keep in mind this Waltham watch is 111 year old. Not much wear for being 111 years young. The dial on this Waltham is very ornate. Blue and gold leaf design. Very unusual for a size 16 watch. The crystal is good. The watch has a SIGNED Model 1888 Grade No. 20, 7 jewel movement. It is lever set and stem wound. The movement’s serial # 6,424,581 dates this watch to 1895. It is running but I have no service records for this 111 year old Waltham. The front lid has an issue. The hinge or the lid clasp is not grabbing the front lid securely. It will need an adjustment. It closes but sometime will pop open on it’s own. I sell all my watches as-is and as found.
