This is a stunning and unusual watch in my opinion. It is a 16 Size Hunter’s Case Gold Leaf Dial American Waltham that dates back to 1895. The 15 year gold filled case measures 52.4 mm wide not including the bow and crown. Still has it’s paper guaranty from the J. Boss Watch Case Co. In the inside of the back lid!!! How cool is that!!! The case show some light wear but keep in mind this Waltham watch is 111 year old. Not much wear for being 111 years young. The dial on this Waltham is very ornate. Blue and gold leaf design. Very unusual for a size 16 watch. The crystal is good. The watch has a SIGNED Model 1888 Grade No. 20, 7 jewel movement. It is lever set and stem wound. The movement’s serial # 6,424,581 dates this watch to 1895. It is running but I have no service records for this 111 year old Waltham. The front lid has an issue. The hinge or the lid clasp is not grabbing the front lid securely. It will need an adjustment. It closes but sometime will pop open on it’s own. I sell all my watches as-is and as found. I will see if my watchmaker can make an adjustment on the catch.
