Elgin 16 size pocket watch that was made in 1917. Three finger bridge model. Runs great and keeps time to within a minute a day. Brand: Elgin Movement type: [windup] mechanical Setting method: stem set Jewel count : 17 jewel Country of origin of movement: USA Country of origin of case: USA Condition of movement: running Service record: It has just been serviced Case material: brass Dial condition: porcelain with one short hairline on the edge Scratches on case: minor marks Crystal material: glass [on both sides] Crystal condition: both are excellent Crown condition: good This is a nice display case Elgin pocket watch. The bezel and back screw on and off easily. The case was a very worn gold filled case, I polished it down to brass. It is not a factory display case, it was made using an original Illinois Watch Case Co. 10 year gold filled case and the back has been machined to accept a crystal. This has been polished and will tarnish as time goes on. 105 years old in an age when most things are headed to the dump after a year or two [if you are lucky]. Looks and runs great.
