Pretty good condition considering age see all photos. Nice case ding and dent free. Movement is complete and tries to run may go 30 seconds and stops. I have zero records of any service and see no marks on case of one so at minimum will need that or more. The product is a vintage 1918 Illinois pocket watch with a Grade 306 16s 19j openface movement and a nickel case. Rare running 1888 Cheshire pocket watch. 3/4 plate 4 jewel movement grade 25 series 3, manufactured in Cheshire Conn. Open face hinged nickel case in good condition only minor scratches and dings due to age and use. The dial hands and crystal are nice, minor scratches on crystal. There is some tarnish and patina to this watch. See photos for condition details. The watch winds smooth and the lever set time set works. The watch keeps time but has not been checked for precision of timekeeping.

Elgin 18S 11J key wind grade 13 pocket watch #1618833, classic gilt full plate movement with a deeply engraved balance bridge and a brushed finish, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals, a black minute marker register on the outer edge and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some very small faint hairlines and a tiny flake at the edge of the dial at 3 o’clock, blue steel spade style hands, re-cased into a heavy smooth polish white base metal (WBM) hinge back & bezel (HB&B) case with offset gold recessed hinges, an extra large heavy bow and an extra thick glass crystal, case is showing normal even wear with a number of small spots of discoloration and a few very light scratches on the crystal, we can replace the crystal with a new beveled plastic crystal at no charge on request, measures approx. 57mm in diameter x 82mm in length x 20mm thick (crystal included). An impressive early Elgin from the 1880s in excellent overall condition! Any rulers shown for scale give measurements in centimeters (with millimeter gradients), NOT inches.
