We’re always happy to help. This is a vintage ladies Elgin pocket watch, dating from 1898. It features a white enamel decorated dial with black Roman numerals, a black “railroad” minute track, matching hands and small-seconds at 6 o’clock. It is a manual-wind pocket watch powered by the original Elgin Watch Co. Mechanical movement, grade 129, featuring 15 jewels, model 1, class 60, series 2, size 0s, sub-second hand, and made in U. Housed in a 36mm round hunter 14K yellow gold filled case with double hinged case back (double cuvette), a protective front cover, and an inner dust cover. It has an elegant engraved three-tone finish, paired with a classic bow and crown located at 3 o’clock position. Presented in working condition with a clean movement and well-preserved dial. 1894 production year Elgin Grade 117, Model 2 Pocket Watch, Sidewinder. 6 size, 7 jewel. Full Hunter Gold filled Philadelphia Victory case with floral engraving, on front and back with initials. Engraving on inside cover as well. Beautifully engraved floral case, slight ding on backside and missing bow. Enamel dial is in very good condition missing crystal and hour hand. Pocket watch is not currently running.

The Illinois Watch Co. Manufactured this movement, serial #2,529,400, in 1913. It is a Grade 65-E, an upgraded version of the grade 65. It is size 18, 17 Ruby Jewels in screw down settings, open-face, nickel, lever set, Model 6. This movement was factory adjusted to Temperature, 4 positions and Isochronism. The gold-filled movement markings are full and complete. They are, Illinois Watch Co. 65–Springfield–Adjusted to Four Positions–2529400–17 Jewels–Double Roller (circular by balance cock). This movement is equuipped with a polished golden oval head screw set, except for the balance cock screw, which is polished silver flat head screw. Even the patent regulator is golden colored. The large screws and the regulator show signs of corrosion and discoloration. The movement has many small spots scattered scross the plate. In my opinion, the best feature of this movement is the gold inlaid, skewed grid, damaskeen pattern. This damaskeen pattern reinforces the striking contrast between the silver colored background and all the gold accents. You can show off this beautifully damaskeened movement through the glass display back case. The dial is double sunk, glass enamel with standard black Arabic numeral hour markers and small dark red 5 minute markers. The dial signature is Illinois Watch Co. All three hands are polished, shiny blue. The minute hand has some corrosion and color loss. There is a hairline crack that runs from the center sub-dial to the edge through the 2.5 minute mark. There are some minor surface scratches that can only be seen in oblique light. I do not see and chips, gouges or other imperfections. The case is unnamed because someone cut a large circular hole in the middle of the back cover and put a crystal in so you can see the movement without taking the back cover off. I suspect this is a 3 oz. The bow, stem and crown are in good condition. The bezel is plain polish except for a band of ribbing surrounding the crystal. The crystal has 3 small hazy spots that appear as shadows on the dial. You should be able to remove these spots with the right solvent. The back cover crystal is clean and clear. The exterior of this case has a couple of faint spots and several small dents and squiggle lines. This 113 year old watch sets, winds and runs as it sits on my desk. These antique pocket watches are from 100 to 150 years old. Their functionality and accuracy depend on consistent, competent maintenance. I do not know the maintenance history of these watches. I do not service my own watches. If the listing states that the watch sets, winds and runs, it will be running when I place it in the mailing container. I cannot guarantee the function or accuracy of any watch I sell. I highly recommend that you have this watch serviced by a professional as soon as possible to maintain its functionality and accuracy. HAMILTON POCKET WATCH with ORIGINAL BOX, Movement #1763624, Case #8550664, Grade #914. Beautiful gold watch in good condition, works fine, slight wear on back cover, crystal is good (see pics). Make a statement with this collectors’ item.

Elgin 16S 21J lever set (LS) adj. 5p Veritas grade 270 pocket watch #13279580, attractive nickel 3-finger bridge movement with screw-down gold jewel settings (GJS) and an elaborate concentric circle damaskeen pattern, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has a faint hairline at 4 o’clock, blue steel spade style hands, heavy yellow gold filled (YGF) smooth polish Elgin screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with diamond engraving on the bezels, a short heavy pendant with a recessed crown, large fancy engraved bow and a glass crystal, case is showing normal even wear with some light smoothing to some of the engraving, a bit of brass starting to show on the upper frame & pendant near the crown and some small clusters of depressions on the frame on each side of the case, likely from the watch being secured in some sort of display, measures approx. 52mm in diameter x 65mm in length x 13mm thick (crystal included). A high grade triple signed railroad grade Elgin from the early 1900s in excellent+ overall condition! Any rulers shown for scale give measurements in centimeters (with millimeter gradients), NOT inches. Please note that very dark or light spots that are not mentioned in the description above are likely a result of the camera and lighting. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

The product is a vintage Antique 1915 Elgin Pocket Watch Grade 286 Model 2 6s 7j that runs and keeps time, but still needs some work. It features a full hunter closure, Arabic numerals on a white dial, and a yellow gold case color. This pocket watch belongs to the dress/formal style, with a mechanical manual movement and a seconds hand. THE WATCH RUNS AND KEEPS ACCURATE TIME BUT SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO TAP THE WATCH AFTER WINDING TO GET IT TO GO. THE HINGED DOOR OVER THE CRYSTAL KEEPS POPPING OPEN. All sales are final. Gold-filled case from Dueber.

1926 Elgin 16s, 7j, Grade 291 Pocket Watch. Watch is fully functional and keeps time overnight. Watch is set inside an Illinois Watch Company gold filled case. The watch for being 100 years old is in excellent condition by comparison of other watches of the same age. The watch case and dial are both very ornate. The Elgin watch dials some including this one have the ornate center insert that shines very well. The watch is 100 years old so it will have signs of use however for the age and comparison it is minimal. There are small spots on the dial as shown in the photos and small scratches in the case. There is a small chip in the crystal you can barely see right at the bezel. The name “Walter” is engraved on back of case. No, due to nature of age of watch and buyers scalping needed pieces. 1914 Waltham Grade 620 POCKET WATCH Gold Filled Hunter Case, chain, knife. At the time of writing this, the pocket watch is ticking and can see the seconds hand moving, but stops pretty often. Moving the watch around, seems to get it running again. Watch is engraved on the front with a letter R. Back outside of case has a beautiful floral, maybe Asian theme engraving? Inside of back case has an engraving, From Parents to Robert 1934. Back and front case snap into place. The back case is difficult to pop open, I had to use a knife to pop it open. Due to the style of chain, the links can get stuck. Knife blade is broken. Is engraved with the letter R. Total weight of all items is 127 grams. Watch case is about 2 across.
