The original dial is in excellent condition – see photos. The pair case with silver hallmarks is in excellent condition with some normal wear; all covers open and close as they should with no prominent gaps – see photos. The fusee movement sets and winds smoothly. It is signed “JNO STRACHAN FORFAR 11833″ – see photos. The balance staff is intact, the balance swings freely, and it runs; over a 24-hour observation period, it ran and lost approximately 3 minutes/day. Runs and loses 3 minutes/day.
