Nicely running English pocket watch the is house in a Sterling silver pair case.. The watch measures 53mm across the outside and it weights 145.4 grams complete.. The gilded plates has much of its original sparkle.. Movement is signed by j Souter of Lumsden England.. And numbered 97587 on the balance cock.. The movement has 9 jewels with the 3rd wheel being jeweled as well as the entire escapement. Movement has been cleaned and runs the length of the fuse chain… The Gold solid balance has good motion and is true in the flat it keeps good time.. Nice deep blue screw set and it also has its original brass dust cover.. The single sunk enamel dial is signed by the maker along wit the town.. Pretty good shape with a small hairline at the 26 minute mark.. Nice gilded hand set.. The pair cases at almost new… No dent or dings and minimal wear.. Hinges are firm and everything closes up as it should.. Release button is as new.. The front bezel is fitted with a bulls eye scratch free glass crystal… The watch is key wind and key set.. A couple of extras with the watch are 2 watch papers from a Watchmaker in Alford along with a silk piece and cutout paper.. Also included is a winding an setting key… A nice example of an 1800′s English made watch that is in very good condition… Please ask any questions that you may have. It has a maker name of Camozzi who made watches from 1832-50. 53.5 mm in diameter. The movement is running, but could use servicing. Camozzi made watches in Biscester. It is hall marked almost everywhere. Very nice example of this makers work. The front lift spring is broken and needs fixing. The movement is recently Cleaned and serviced, winds smoothly. And runs with a great motion in all positions, keeps reasonable. Time for a 129 year old watch. The beautiful engraved Sterling Silver watch case is in a very good condition. Clean and bright, all covers closing nice and tight! No dings or dents or scratches. The watch case is clearly hallmarked for the city Birmingham. Year letter P what stands for the year 1889. Across 56mm, including bow 78mm. Thick 20mm, weight 143 grams. Overall this is really a SuperB Sterling Silver Antique watch. In a fine working condition. Will be delivered with a fitting key, and an extra key set of 14 pcs. Some marks and light dents commensurate with age… The watch has an English verge fusee, chain driven movement. Engraved balance cock with grotesque face and regulator needle. Movement is signed J. The movement is working well and running strongly in all positions for the full length of the chain. The original white enamel dial is in good condition, a light hairline but no major damage. The watch measures approx 58mm across and weighs 158 grams. The movement has been removed from the case to photograph. All my watches are tested on a flat surface. It measures approximately 53mm across the diameter. The casing very good nol dinks. The glass couple scratches. Bow good, very nice watch for any collector after a repair to balance.
